SHEQ AT BERTSCHI

Quality & Safety

Since Bertschi was founded, safety has been a central element in all the company's operations. The group-wide SHEQ program (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) covers all areas related to safety and training, and ensures that the highest standards are applied, whether in the professional environment, in private life or in the use of digital tools.

All under the guiding principle: Stop at risk!

At the terminal & on the road

Work safety at our terminals, in our workshops and when working as a driver - both on the road and at the customer's facilities - is our top priority. This includes not only compliance with all regulations and safety measures, such as wearing the required PPE and carefully checking work documents to avoid errors, but also responsible and professional handling of driving and work equipment.

In order to maintain a consistently high level of safety at Bertschi, our employees receive regular training. This enables them to recognize and avoid potential risks in the truck, at the terminals and at the customer's facility. By reporting so-called "near misses", sources of danger can be systematically eliminated, making daily work easier and safer for everyone involved.

At the office & at home

Safety does not end at our terminals - it is just as important in the office and at home, from using stairs with handrails to avoiding tripping hazards such as unsecured cables or objects left lying around. Electronic devices should be regularly checked and properly installed to minimize fire hazards.

Conscious use of digital media also plays an important role in the safety culture. Our training courses raise employees' awareness of both cybersecurity and health risks, such as back pain and eye strain. Bertschi is committed to identifying and reporting hazards early - whether in the office, on the road or working from home.

Day-to-day safety, thanks to systematic staff training

To keep our safety and quality standards at the highest level, we conduct regular training. This totals over 4,400 days of training per year. Our training programs for employees include technical training, driver training, fire safety and emergency response training, as well as safety audits to verify the measures taken and sustainable work processes.
