Making safety a daily habit, on & off the job!

Header article home and office safety

Safety doesn't end when the working day is over and the computer is switched off. It's a mindset that extends far beyond our desks and offices. Many people tend to associate safety risks with job sites or high-risk environments, but the truth is that risks can arise in everyday situations, both at work and at home. For example, something as simple as rushing up or down the stairs without using the handrail can lead to falls and serious injuries, affecting your daily life and overall wellbeing.

Whilst we navigate through different aspects of our lives, it's important to realise that safety also applies to our digital interactions. Clicking on a suspicious link in an email may seem harmless, but the consequences can be significant. A virus or malware could infiltrate the company's network, disrupting operations, compromising sensitive data, and potentially causing costly downtime. To combat these threats, ongoing cybersecurity training is essential to help everyone identify and avoid risks in their inboxes and online.

Digital Stop at risk

Our commitment to safety goes beyond awareness; we implement various initiatives to create a safe environment at work and in everyday life. Comprehensive first aid training provides our employees with the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in an emergency. Knowing how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for sudden cardiac arrest or basic first aid can save lives - not only in the workplace, but also in everyday scenarios such as witnessing a car accident or dealing with an injury at home.

In addition to first aid training, we conduct fire and evacuation drills and ensure that our employees are trained in emergency procedures. This includes understanding the location of emergency exits, how to evacuate safely, and where to gather at designated assembly points in the event of an alarm.

It is our goal to create a culture where everyone is not only aware of potential risks, but also proactive in preventing them, both in the workplace and beyond. Through first aid training, fire drills, cyber security training, and recognising potential risks, safety becomes a shared responsibility that extends to employees, visitors and the community. Together, we can build a safer and healthier future, following the motto "Stop at risk"!
