Further expansion in Asia: Uyeno-Bertschi Tokyo & Bertschi Seoul

Bertschi Seoul

Just a few months after the opening of our new hub in Zhangjiagang, China, Bertschi started the year with two significant moves that further expand our presence in key Asian markets. Our joint venture with the Uyeno Group in Tokyo and the opening of Bertschi Seoul allow us to deepen our presence and offer tailored solutions for the Japanese and Korean market.

The Uyeno Group (Tokyo, Japan) is a well-known family-owned Japanese chemical logistics and trading company. The joint venture between Uyeno and Bertschi commenced operations in Tokyo in January 2024, facilitating further growth in the Japanese market for tank container services.

Shortly after, the wholly-owned Bertschi subsidiary in Seoul, South Korea, was established. As one of the largest producers worldwide, South Korea's chemical sector presents immense opportunities for growth and collaboration. With our new subsidiary, we aim to provide localized expertise and support to our Korean partners.

Combined with our existing hubs and locations across continents, Bertschi offers a comprehensive network that optimizes costs, enhances customer benefits, and boosts the efficiency of global supply chains. Our continued focus on expanding the Bertschi container fleet and implementing door-to-door logistics concepts is part of our dedication to providing top-tier services to our customers worldwide.
