We have fun!

April Fool 2022

We have fun! Perhaps some of you optimistically reacted to our April Fool's joke on solar-powered trucks. Unfortunately, such technology is not yet a reality for such high volume vehicles, otherwise, we certainly would be looking into it. 

Something that really is on the horizon, however, are hydrogen Bertschi trucks. Hydrogen trucks will enable climate-neutral door-to-door transport chains, including intermodal pre- and on-carriage by road. Bertschi will rely on hydrogen technology with fuel cells: green hydrogen (H2) generated with renewable energy sources enables the operation of trucks with zero CO2 emissions. The company is (and this is true!) preparing for delivery of the first forty 44-ton H2 tractor units in approximately three years for a pilot project in Switzerland.
