Bertschi/Nordic Bulkers receive Operation Clean Sweep® (OCS) Award from Biesterfeld

Operation Clean Sweep® (OCS) Award from Biesterfeld

The aim of the international Operation Clean Sweep® (OCS) initiative is to ensure that no plastic granulates are released into the environment, and in particular our oceans. The approach involves all companies along the plastics supply chain and obliges them to take preventive measures. Only through the cooperation of all partners - from the polymer producer to the logistics service provider and the processor - can the 'Zero Pellet Loss' goal be achieved.

Bertschi was one of the first logistics service providers to sign the OCS commitment 2016, as comprehensive measures had already been taken before at its own critical points such as terminals, warehouses and transshipment points. Since then, these efforts have been continuously developed and expanded.

In recognition of its exemplary performance as part of the OCS initiative, Bertschi and its subsidiary Nordic Bulkers have now received the Operation Clean Sweep Award from plastics manufacturer Biesterfeld. On 22 October, on the occasion of the K-Fair in Düsseldorf, the presentation of the award, initiated jointly by Biesterfeld and Plastics Europe, took place.
