Internal Trainings: The Bertschi Tank Container Technical Training in Busto Arsizio this 2022
The Bertschi Tank Container Technical Training in Busto Arsizio, Italy, spanned two full Saturdays this September 2022. These two technical courses were specially tailored to the needs of the employees of Bertschi Italy.
Lead and prepared by our Deputy Head of Technical Department Roger Gloor, the course was attended by two batches of twenty employees of Bertschi Italy. The demanding syllabus was divided into a classroom and a practical part. Thermodynamic relationships in the heating of tank containers, the relevance and importance of the specific heat capacity, safety aspects and tank container designs of "today and tomorrow" were all discussed. In addition, the topics of telematics, digitalization, and how this leads to transparent real-time supply chain visibility were covered, as well as ADR, RID, IMDG, ADN and ASME, and the correlation to the tank container.
The final part of the technical course was a practical section, in which we combined theory with practice. This part was carried out at Bertschi's own tank container steam heating station in Busto Arsizio.
Bertschi delivers the highest quality in tank container transport services. This quality comes with the most expert hands on-deck for your product supply chains. In order to ensure this, our employees need to be trained to the highest standard, and our training modules continue to be set to the most updated information and levels each year. This year, the comprehensive training was extended to additional on-site and office staff, highlighting the importance of further internal education within the company for increased cross-departmental collaboration and understanding.
Our Deputy Head of Technical Department Roger Gloor is not only an encyclopedia of knowledge on our Bertschi ISO-, SWAPtanks, and their robust design and technological makeup. With a certificate in adult education, his additional background in helicopter flight instruction, and his wide involvement in the tank container industry, he brings along his skills as a valued trainer and mentor for these training events.
We commend all those involved. Congratulations to branch manager Gabriele del Mistro for the impeccable organization, to Roger Gloor for his competent delivery of the advanced course, and certainly to all the participants who completed their training sessions in high spirits, bringing along expert knowledge to their professions.
