What's new in the Bertschi Group?

After a very long few years, we are finally starting to see the return of in-person events. Team spirit connects people!

To meet the growing market demand for storage and intermodal solutions, Swiss chemical logistics company Bertschi Group has doubled its terminal capacity at the ValuePark Terneuzen. This expansion project increases Bertschi’s service offering to valued customers.

Bertschi has made visible our company’s stand on creating a culture of inclusion and diversity.

The link between the Constantí and Morrot terminals of Bertschi will reduce the flow of 150 trucks between Tarragona and Barcelona.

As part of our growth strategy, Bertschi continuously focuses on innovations and practices towards sustainable logistics. Through workshops, meetings, and conference participation on the topic, we are able to lead the way towards sustainable supply chain discussions and action plans.

The Joint Venture Aldrees-Bertschi container terminal in Saudi Arabia handles the logistics processes of our global and Middle Eastern clients. Our staff on-site operate as expert logistics professionals, handling the challenging requirements of our customers, through efficient implementation, trainings, and a special ability to withstand the harsh conditions of a terminal located in the middle of a desert.

Recent months and indeed years have been very challenging for all of us. First the Covid crisis pushed us all to our limits, and now an unnecessary war is filling us with concern and sadness. Particularly in difficult trying times, it’s so wonderful to see Bertschi employees getting involved to make a difference.

As a long-standing leader in European intermodal chemical logistics, Bertschi Group’s best-in-class presence in Europe has built a profound network set up for rail, road, and waterway transportation. This network includes our own truck fleet, train terminals, and logistics hubs for both dry bulk and liquid chemical products.

We have fun! Perhaps some of you optimistically reacted to our April Fool's joke on solar-powered trucks. Unfortunately, such technology is not yet a reality for such high volume vehicles, otherwise, we certainly would be looking into it.

The new year comes with a significant milestone for the Bertschi Group. Fresh from production, the 40,000th Bertschi container ever produced has just been added to the Group’s container fleet. As it embarks on its first journey, on truck, train, and ship, the 40,000th Bertschi container marks an impressive success story of a company which deployed its very first containers back in 1970.
